Issue detail
Traffic congestion
More units mean more delivery vehicles, drop-offs, and daily trips on a street that already has pressure points.
Traffic impacts are not limited to rush hour. A larger development changes the street rhythm all day through ride-hailing, service vehicles, deliveries, visitors, and construction staging.
Without meaningful upgrades to traffic management, the block absorbs those pressures directly. That creates more turning conflicts, more short-term stopping, and more frustration for everyone using the road.
Why it matters
- Congestion makes the street less predictable for drivers and pedestrians.
- Curbside conflicts increase when loading and drop-off demand rises.
- Existing intersections can become harder to navigate safely.
